Department Stores

Department stores thrive on moments. Seasonal launches, curated assortments, exclusive bundles, and gifting programs all live or die by timing, presentation, and consistency across hundreds of doors. When multiple products are thoughtfully bundled into a single, store-ready SKU, department stores increase basket size, simplify the shopping experience, and create premium moments of discovery customers remember.

Veritiv helps you turn complexity into confidence. We design, source, assemble, and deliver department-store-ready kits at scale, engineered to hit exact floor-set dates, meet retailer standards, and look flawless on the sales floor. You bring the vision. We make it real, repeatable, and profitable.

Elevated Retail Assortments

We help you transform multiple SKUs into cohesive, premium kits that feel intentional and on-brand. From beauty and accessories to home and multi-category gifting, each assortment is designed to drive discovery and sell-through.

Floor-Set Ready Programs

Department store calendars are unforgiving. Our integrated design-to-distribution workflow ensures your kits arrive store-ready, on time, and executed consistently across every door.

Sellable Retail SKUs

We create unique, retailer-specific SKUs that differentiate your assortment and can’t be price-shopped elsewhere. That exclusivity drives traffic, loyalty, and higher value per transaction.

High-Volume Assembly

Our kitting operations are built for repeatable, high-throughput department store programs. Whether it’s thousands or millions of units, we execute with accuracy, quality control, and speed.

Merchandising Built In

Packaging isn’t just protection, it’s presentation. We engineer kits with visual impact in mind so they merchandise beautifully on tables, counters, and shop-in-shop environments.

Smarter Packaging Choices

We help you meet retailer sustainability scorecards by reducing unnecessary materials, simplifying substrates, and designing packaging that balances performance, recyclability, and aesthetics.

One Accountable Partner

Instead of managing designers, packagers, co-packers, and logistics providers, you work with one partner who owns the entire program. Fewer handoffs. Fewer surprises. Better results.

Store-Ready. Simplified.

Everything arrives exactly as your stores need it, fully assembled, compliant, and ready to hit the floor. No backroom work. No last-minute fixes. Just clean execution at scale.

Built for Department Store Reality

Department stores depend on vendor-executed kits to reduce store labor and protect floor-set integrity. Veritiv designs every program to arrive complete, accurate, and ready to merchandise so your teams stay focused on selling, not assembling.

Designed to Repeat

The most successful kitting programs aren’t one-offs. We build systems that scale season after season, making it easier to refresh assortments, expand programs, and execute future launches with confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q. What does "Cold Chain" mean?

A. Cold Chain refers to the process or products involved in shipping temperature-sensitive items from origin to destination while maintaining a stable environment within the cooler. This prevents spoilage of food and maintains the stability and efficacy of life-altering medications.

Q. What are the most common temperature ranges for cold chain shipping?

A. The four conventional temperature ranges are:

Frozen/Dry Ice (<-20°C) Refrigerated (2-8°C) Ambient/Room Temp (15-25°C) Cryogenic/Liquid Nitrogen Frozen (>-80°C)

Q. What is a temperature excursion?

A. Temperature excursion occurs when a product that must maintain a specific temperature range falls below or exceeds that range. For example, if a product required to stay between 2°C – 8°C falls below 2°C or rises above 8°C, it results in a temperature excursion.

Q. Is dry ice better than frozen gel packs for shipping frozen products?

A. Many factors are used to determine when dry ice should be used over frozen gel packs. Dry ice is one of the more costly options but offers the best duration. It sublimates up to 10 pounds per day depending on the ambient temperature and turns into carbon dioxide. Be cautious of trapped gases when opening the cooler.
